Victory! Katrina Shankland wins 71st Assembly District Democratic Primary

Katrina and her Congratulatory CakeIn a stunning race that was originally too close to call, the canvas results are in. Katrina Shankland has won the Democratic Primary election for 71st Assembly District, narrowly defeating Corey Ladick.

  1. Katrina – Just looking at my family history when I came into your website. The Shankland name must be significant as my grandfather David was asked to be nominated for Member of parliament in 1940 and my father Kenneth was a huge socialist and chairman of both one of the biggest steel industry unions and chairman of the local Labour Party

  2. Katrina – Just looking at my family tree when I came up with your website .My grandfather David was nominated for labour MP in 1940 and my father was chairman of the biggest steel union and chairman of the local Labour Party. I guess the name Shankland is special!
